How do we convert spirituality into action?

The Rebbe from Piasetzchna, the Warsaw Ghetto Rebbe , summarizes his book Chovat Hatalmidim (duties of the students), by giving us the tools how to take our values, and spiritual attributes we learned about and manifest them in our actions. Knowing the Jewish values and Middot is not enough, the goal is to bring those values into action in our day to day lives. How do you deal with stubborn people?
